Posted under skin rejuvenationOctober Rain
Some may look out their window with disdain
Grass needs a cut; the puddles growing wide
As in a gentle shower falls the rain
I could not make myself stay kept inside
And barefoot stepped out in the yard to feel
The raindrops pelting gently on my skin
Rejuvenation comes – it’s very real
As saturation of my clothes so thin
They clinging damply to my tiny frame
As twirling leaves are washing in the ditch
My hair is dripping softened and untamed
October rain beckons … these moments rich
Should I attempt to pass this moment by?
Ignore the feelings growing in my mind
To stay within my house where it is dry?
Or should I dance in reverie defined
DANCE GIRL, DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!
oh, you have written something so beautifully that I have been trying to do for 8 days. Dancing in the rain!
beautiful write!
love the images here

I feel the same and I have a true love for seasonal poems… yours does the genre justice, plus it is a bit playful!

As soon – as I heard – dancing in the rain – I thought of Ma. I remember – she wrote something about the rain, dancing and dogs. That time again – go – you nature loving creatures ?

i thought I had starred this, and my star this function doesn’t work for me all the time, can’t get back to them, it tells me they are private!
and i’m most glad i just read this again, after a short walk, a sit under a pokeberry bush, with animals crunching in the trees, and that old log….well….as I came out of my wooded thoughts, I forgot to dance….
