You can supplement your dog’s diet with "people food". Just make sure that a majority of his nutrition comes from a high quality dog food. Also make sure you don’t give him onions, grapes, really salty or really sweet foods.

I wouldn't recommend doing this if your dog is solid white. If you change your oil your self just take the old oil and cover your dog in it for a few hours. Keep clear of his eyes and face. I promise his coat will never look better! Its good for their skin and makes their coat shine! My vet said it was fine and it wouldn't hurt them. I've done this with my dogs before that have some white and it works great. When I was a kid we took in a stray that had mange and did this with him. His hair grew back shiny and full. We had that dog for years!
