Looking for a commercial web-site for facial skin care products?

Posted under facial skin care

I’m looking for a specific web-site for a Canadian facial skin care products brand (for mature skin). It shows a woman that, when you chose different products, opens her door to either a policeman, fireman, gardener, plumber, etc. I don’t know if this web-site is still around. If it is, and you’ve visited it, let me know the link to it, please. :)
I’m not looking for just any facial skin care web-site, but for a specific one. Please, read description.

Questions about Facial Skin Care Routines?

Posted under facial skin care

Should I do them twice a day? One in the morning, and one at night?

And do I apply it on before or after I exercise? Thanks!

Well, if you have oily/combination skin, you definitely have to wash your face twice a day, maybe with toner if you prefer and SPF moisturizer in the morning, maybe a light moisturizer at night.
If you have dry skin, you should wash your face at night to get rid of all the gunk, but in the morning, if your skin doesn’t seem to be very dirty/greasy, then you could just go over it w/ a toner or splash some water on your face and be done with it.
And for exercising … If it’s in the morning I’d say before, since you might dry your skin out if you don’t do that. If it’s later during the day, the skin care routine doesn’t come in as a problem.

Remedies around the home for facial skin care!!!!!?

Posted under facial skin care

Good luck with these :)

Happy Hand Exfoliant
Say good-bye to dry, cracked hands. Even if your gloves haven’t been doing their job this winter, this easy-to-make exfoliant will slough off all those dead skin cells. Plus, it cleanses and moisturizes, leaving hands soft and smooth.
Ingredients:
• 1 ounce ground almonds
• 1 teaspoon clear honey
• 2 teaspoons walnut or sunflower oil
• 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together into a thick paste.

2. Rub a heaping teaspoon all over the hands for two to three minutes and rinse off. Use whenever your hands need some extra TLC.
Peach-and-Honey Mask
This revitalizing peach and honey mask is almost good enough to eat. But what you’ll really love about it is how it leaves your skin feeling soft and supple.
Ingredients:
• 1 large peach or nectarine, skinned
• 3 teaspoons honey
• A pinch of lecithin powder or 2 tablespoons yogurt

Directions:
Mash the peach and honey together, add a little lecithin powder or 2 tablespoons yogurt until you have a workable paste. Pat evenly over your face and neck and around the eyes. Lie back and relax for about 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, pat dry, then tone and moisturize as you normally would.
Apple-Pectin Toner
Apples have been used in beauty products for centuries. And thanks to a high concentration of vitamins A and C and potassium, when applied as a facial toner, apple pectin can sooth and refresh all skin types. Please note: If you have especially dry or sensitive skin, reduce the amount of witch hazel in the toner.
Ingredients:
• 1 apple, cut up with peel, seeds removed
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/4 cup witch hazel

Directions:
1. Place the cut-up apple in a small saucepan with the water. Bring to a boil and remove from the heat.

2. Allow the mixture to cool completely, then strain out the apple chunks. Stir in the witch hazel and pour into a clean container.

3. To use, spray or apply to skin using a clean cotton ball.

after swimming facial skin care?

Posted under facial skin care

I swim 3 times a week, but i don’t know how to take care of my skin after swimming to make it feel less dry and to get fewer breakouts. I am a no-fuss no-muss kinda girl, so the easier the routine the more likely i am to try it. Right now, in my post-swim shower I was my face with a mild cleanser. Can anyone tell me something simple I can do to help my skin after swimming, without making it feel oily?

the chlorine should be cleaning your skin if your in a pool and it should kill the bacteria, so maybe you should try washing it less after you swim? if you over wash, you will just be drying out your skin. I always get oily skin whenever i try to get rid of dry skin with creams. I’m no expert but i would try not washing it as much.

If you have aged prematurely, is it too late to get facial skin care products?

Posted under facial skin care

i can’t afford cosmetic surgery, but

can i reverse the damage thats been done with the right facial skin care products ?

im 31 , but because of life stress i feel ive aged early in my face.

dry, dead looking skin, dark lines under my eyes, skin blemishes , uneven skin tone , open pores on cheek bones near nose , frown lines on forehead . wrinkles on forehead and near eyes.

this is very depressing , what facial products for a male could i buy from the high street that is easy to get hold of ?

face wash, face scrub or moisturizer ? what brand ?

and finally, what order do i use them ?

( clenched teeth ) somebody please answer this !! grrgh – im getting frustrated at the no answers now.
AJ Has Achieved Immortality

im not at all interested in your forum, or your speech – save the rant and answer the question not waffle on about things irrelevant to me or my question !

gem a decent answer but save the patronizing for another person because to me, it doesn’t work.

i know god loves me , ( which is irrelevant to what i asked )

do not try to patronize me again in a question or i’ll block you. simple.

Its never to flat to repair skin damage, but at some point in your near life , you will need to get at leat 1 or 2 acid peels to soften the look of your wrinkles and sun damage.
The wrinkles will not go away, but you can help yourself look refreshed and youthful by doin the following 1-6:::

1) apply a wet warm to hot washcloth to your face to soften up and open your pores so you can extract all white heads and blackheads.
2) Get a good facial scrub and exfloliate your skin for 2 minutes, rinse and pat dry. ( do this twice a week only)
3) apply a sunscreen and daily moisturizer to hydrate your skin.
4) The SECRET TO Youthful looking skin is to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize DAILY!!! —— no matter what!
5) the eyes need moisture to – an eye gel for night time use is great.
6) Please dont pull, or rub your facial skin because in doing so, your pulling and stretching your skin and sagging it and causing it to wrinkle.

Brands – There is Clinique, BeautiControl, Mary Kay, Oil of Olay, Neutrogena. You have to experiement to see what works for you and look for a complete line. Dont mix -match products. Hope this helps!
Smile – GOD LOVES YOU and always will no matter what !

Facial skin care tips?

Posted under facial skin care

Im a male,16! i dont know anything bout facial care! ive herd of toner and a facial cleanser, i thought they were the same! I only have pimples around my nose and above my chin/ below my bottom lip! most of them are blackheads but the others ones can get really big! i have no idea how to care for this stuff! i live in Melb, AUS, so if you can recommend some products to buy, also like a step by step thingy of what to do thanks

Okay no worries :]
I am a 14.Female and I know lots about beauty tips for both genders.
Okay so here is some basics:
1.Clean & Clear products have a package with toner, facial wash and cleanser.
Thats what I use, and It got rid of all my pimples.
For black heads, I suggest black head strips.
Minimum: $1, or even a home brand will do.
It takes all the gunk out in one go, look it up on google.
Also just keeping washing face, keep hair out of face if it is long and also if your face is pale it will tend to show off a lot more of your flaws, so getting a tan may be bad, but if you get a natural tan while wearing sunscreen your flaws wont be as noticeable, trust me.
Don’t worry your still young like all of us,
its just hormones and genes.
I think you should also try some stressfree excersises as it can get rid of pimples,
as pimples can be caused by stress just like dirt.
Hope I helped(:
Also, you could watch youtube videos for more help.
Any more help needed ask me,
and I will also check out your questions to see if you need more answered.

What are good ssential oils for skin care?

Posted under facial skin care

I’ve heard that when it comes to skin care, you need to use essential oils (not base oils). What’s the difference between the two? I’ve been using Jojoba oil but I think I want to switch it around a bit. What’s better for facial skin care, combination skin? There’s jojoba, almond, grape seed, tea tree, sunflower seed, coconut, etc.

Overall, the effects of essential oils may be divided into two basic groups. Some essential oils have actual physical effects. For example, eucalyptus oil can be inhaled to help clear sinuses and the respiratory tract. This would obviously relieve some symptoms of an upper respiratory infection (URI). Some oils may be used topically (directly on the skin, where they would usually be absorbed by the body, or on a wound) to possibly relieve swelling or fight certain infections.

sarah , you didnt answer my question, you answered your agenda , not mine .

i need useful advice for this question, and more importantly , i would like my words , my question, to be answered.

You cannot totally undo the damage but you can improve the current condition of your skin by addressing the dryness and blemishes, and dark circles. The frown lines can be softened but, sorry, not totally undone by just skin care products – no matter what claims they have.

I good simple regime done regularly can improve your skin but it can take a few weeks to a month to see results. Be patient – you skin need to heel and revitalize.

Steps for a god regime – cleanse (with a gentle cleanser), tone (with a mister that has aloe vera base – and not alcohol so you can use it for a aftershave too), and moisturize to protect you skin from the elements.

Exfoliate twice a week with a mild scrub or enzyme mask/scrub depending on your preference. And micro-exfoliate once every day, for the first month to get rid of that dead skin build up. you can do this economically by adding 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder to your cleanser (at night or in the morning).

I like brands that are natural and do not use any harsh preservatives or synthetic fragrances.
Look for brands that have natural oils and botanicals that give your skin vitamins too- like shea butter (not coconut because that can clog your pores), sweet almond or safflower oil, aloe vera, and green tea (great antioxidant).

Burts Bees have some of those types of products – but watch for fragrance in some of their products.
Tea Naturals , based on green tea, is also another one that has products that do dual purpose (cleansing gel can be used as a shaving gel).

Hope this helps, and its never too late to improve you skin!
