Male body skin care products and tips?

Posted under body skin care

Hi, I’m starting to finalize my look for summer now. I need various tips for healthy skin and defined skin (NOT MUSCLE BUILDING TIPS THOUGH!).
For example, i know tanned skin can help show more definition in muscle, but tanning skin isn’t building muscle..
Any more tips or products?
Should i be moisturising my skin?

I want to start taking care of my body and skin now! Help?

Posted under body skin care

I am female, 16 years old. I have combination and acne prone skin. I am planning to start working out and taking all my vegetarian frinedly vitamins, but what else can I do for my skin, body, specific facial care, etc? I rather start taking care of myself now than regretting it later! Thanks!

Girl, I had the same problem when I was your age.

1) Get some kind of acne medicine. If you have continuous acne, get something that’s strong. If it’s just frequent acne, get something that isn’t as strong.
Tip: If you tend to get acne on the side of your face, it may be your phone. So make sure you clean it.

2) MOISTURIZE! I can’t stress this enough. If you don’t moisturize then your face will get dry and will become irritated. If you have redness, it’s most likely irritated skin.

3) Try to use body wash that not only smells good, but has some kind of moisturizing effect on your skin. I recommend Dove Beauty Bars. They work amazingly and are hypo-allergenic. So it does not contain any harsh chemicals that could damage your skin.

4) Eating healthy makes your skin healthy. Ever heard the saying, "You are what you eat"? That is absolutely true. For example, if you eat greasy hamburgers all the time, not only are they bad for you, but they’re bad for your skin, because all that grease comes out in sweat. Once it comes out in sweat, it gets into your pores, causing acne.

My skin is so dry and I hate putting lotion on. Any body wash that will take care of my dry skin?

Posted under body skin care

My skin is very dry and I hate wearing lotion and putting it on. Is there a body wash that will moisturize our skin enough so that I don’t have to wear lotion. I don’t like oily feeling left behind so none of those.

Try Lush’s Buffy the Backside Slayer. make sure you step out of the shower water when you use it or it will melt. Just a few swipes across your skin then rinse. It exfoliates and moisturizes, you will not need a moisturizer after using it. I use a moisturizer only on days when I do not use Buffy. It does leave you skin a bit tacky but not so that it is uncomfortable. You could also try Lush’s The Olive Branch body wash which has olive oil in it and is quite moisturizing.

Has anyone tried Bath and Body Works new skin care line "Wexler?"?

Posted under body skin care

What has your experience been? I was so excited to try it because the BBW associates hyped it so much. It is actually the worst skincare I’ve ever used. What has your experience been?

The only thing I used was the stuff to plump your lips. It makes my lips tingly, and I honestly don’t see any change after 2 weeks.

Skin care and body hair removal, how do i get rid of the nasty razor spots?

Posted under body skin care

Okay so, before i started waxing, like everyone else i was shaving.
The first day i always loved it, the skin was smooth, exfoilated and ready to hit the road with a skirt or shorts.

the following days when the hair grew back, especially on my thighs i would get this red marks from the hair popping back, my legs would get ichy, and some times, there would be a zit.

I went to waxing, it was great too, only sometimes i had the same result when they grew back. I can’t wear anything short now without panty hose cause of the grey-now dots i have on my thighs. Any advices how to get rid of the scars?

what method of body hair removal do you recommend? waxing and shaving doesn’t help alot. Cream is just like shaving just without the razor, plus it’s expensive for a result that lasts max 2 days.

exfoliate! The dead skin is what makes hair bumps usually.Or hairs that get cut straight across. This is going to sound funny but I use murad exfoliating gel to keep razor bumps away.
Use a sugar scrub before you remove hair to soften the hair and remove dead skin.Use a moisturizing cream if you shave.Use a razor with 3 blades or more. You have to go over the area less and the shave lasts longer.I place a hot (as hot as I can stand it) wet cloth on the area right after shaving, then apply the Murad after Im dried off- dont apply it right away it may sting.I use it everyday after I shower and it works.
One day, when I can afford it- im going to get mine lasered off! Shaving/waxing/Nairing sucks!

Oh and if you exfoliate with a scrub regularly and keep lotion on, the spots will fade. All it is,is dead skin around the hair that came in contact with a razor.

Do the Canadian Bath & Body Works stores carry the Patricia Wexler brand of skin care products?

Posted under body skin care

I live in Canada and there is a Bath & Body Works store opening near me very soon. I really want to try the Patricia Wexler acne products and the eye creams as well. I know they have them in the States because I have seen them on the website. Does anyone know if the Canadian stores carry this brand?

They should if the U.S stores carry the products.

Here is an article my wife said you would be interested in. The article refers you to a website that has a lot of skin care information on it. They have skin care products for men and women plus supplements that are good for the skin, like fish oil. I use the men’s skin care and it really is good, it works very well. Here is the article. Sign up for their newsletter, they put out useful info from time to time.

9 Skin Care Tips That Work – How Many Do You Use?

Trying to uncover that perfect skin care tip? Judging by how many search results pop up so is everybody else. There are plenty of places where you can find good skin care tips, and here are a few of them for you.

TIP #1: The number one skin care tip that I can give you is to make sure to keep your face clean. Your skin picks up dirt and pollutants from our surroundings. Wash your face thoroughly both in the morning and at night, in order to prevent dirty surface film from building up.

TIP # 2: Some other good tips about cleansing you face are certainly in order. You should try to avoid products which use harsh abrasives in order to clean your face. These products will only irritate your face, and the scrubbing action will act to encourage the skin to increase the production of sebum, thereby leaving your skin excessively oily.

TIP #3: Skin care tips involving moisturizing the skin are also very important. Try to avoid moisturizing products that contain mineral oil, or petrolatum. These substances act to clog your pores, leading to the development of blackheads and acne.

TIP #4: A good skin care tip would be to advise you to seek out a moisturizer which contains pure, natural ingredients. Look for products containing grape seed oil, avocado oil, olive oil, or jojoba wax as ingredients. Some of the better products will contain all of these organic substances, and many more.

TIP #5: Let me give you a couple of good skin care tips involving the use of a deep hydrating mask. There is an excellent product on the market today which does not leave you stuck with a blue or green face for 30 minutes. This mask is visible as a natural tone, and the best part is that it disappears right into your face, so you don’t have to worry about clean up.

TIP #6: The other skin care tip I was going to give to you involves the very same mask. The natural ingredients that make up this wonderful product make it far safer to use than most masks. The ingredients include avocado and macadamia oils, as well as New Zealand’s much talked about manuka honey.

TIP #7: Aside from the other ingredients, it would be a sound skin care tip to purchase any product which contains active manuka honey. This miracle is not only an excellent moisturizing ingredient, but it also supports skin cell renewal, assists in the formation of stronger collagen, and has high antioxidant properties. If that wasn’t enough, the honey is recognized worldwide for its astonishing antibacterial and antifungal properties.

TIP #8: Now, I have a few skin care tips regarding protecting ourselves from the sun’s harmful rays. Everyone knows that in order to afford your skin protection that it is valuable to use some sort of sunscreen. What a lot of people don’t understand is that the constant use of these UV blockers also prevents the formation of vitamin D.

TIP #9: My last skin care tip would be to say that a better idea may be to find a cream that contained an emulsified blend of Coenzyme Q10 and Natural vitamin E. It"s called H-EQ10. This blend would offer the skin considerable protection from the sun’s damaging rays, and as antioxidants, this unique blend would also act to repair the damage that the sun has already caused. hi world i am wondering about what skin care i can use on a Chinese crested ex. aveno body wash & skin cream?

Posted under body skin care

maybe a mild exfoliate? (hairless i am adopting)

Oatmeal based dog products for shampoo are really good for keeping the skin nice and shinny. It is also good for dogs with dry skin.

I’m not sure what the skin type of your dog is..but the groomer say my work all recommend the oatmeal shampoo’s.

Also if you don’t already know never us human products on your dog. They strip your dogs natural oils and can be toxic in some cases.
