anti aging treatment she admits she’s a bit a victim of images on tv and advertisements, but yet she thinks she’s getting old (really really old) and she need pro-age skin treatments to stay beautiful. how do i convince her that it’s natural to look like 20years old when you’re 20 years old and that she doesn’t have to stay 15-lookin till she’s 60 just because all the actresses and models do this? please help me, i;m really upset about her obsessions.
Here’s a great idea that she can’t argue with: Many department store makeup counters and pharmacy makeup counters have those free sun damage indicator machines. All you do is bring her to one of them, have the technician do a scan of her face, (make sure she doesnt’ wear foundation or suncreen that day) and it will determine with no uncertainty that she doesn’t have any wrinkles to speak of. It’s no cost and she can take a picture home as proof.
Or she can go to her doctor and ask her what sun damage she has. At this point, it would be sun damage that would be causing any wrinkles and not aging, she should be educated on that part of it. And maybe you can direct her to a site on this very thing to show what real sun damage is.
IF that doesn’t work, then she may have obssesive compulsive disorder and needs to speak to a professional about that, because, then, it would be a distortion in body image that she would be suffering from.

anti aging treatment Has anyone been to the dermatologist for anti- aging treatments? There are so many products out there, it gets very hard to distinguish between them. Are there any skin repair sites you can recommend?
there is no hard-fast rule in taking care of your skin, especially when it comes to aging. skin age does not translate to chronological age. it is how you take care of it that determines what products to use. i have been in the beauty industry for 12 years and have tried every anti-aging product possible in the market/ i even had the chance to help create some. also retail is a good alternative and more cost-effective versus dermatologist / professional treatments.
sun is the number one cause of aging. it’s good only to an extent, over exposure without protection destroys the foundation of our skin which causes us to wrinkle and look older. there are 3 types of sun rays: UVA (aging) = which penetrates deep into the skin that breaks down it’s very foundation thus causing our skin to age faster, UVB (burning) = which penetrates the surface of the skin that causes it to darken / tan, UVC (cancer) = does not reach us at all, these rays are the shortest and we are lucky that they are
anyway, below are some tips and my list of the best products and brands that you can check out and try:
depending on your budget there are several products out there. my rating legends would be: $ = affordable, $$ = mid-priced, $$$ = premium priced
first, always keep skin clean – use a non-drying cleanser and toner 2x a day – low alcohol or no alcohol would be best for sundamaged skin – your skin usually tends to be drier due to exposure to the sun.
* a cleanser i like is CHANEL’s systeme la mousse eclat (to enhance radiance, as the sun makes the skin dull) / follow with a toner. try it with CHANEL’s activatuer eclat or activatuer hydratation. PRICE LEGEND: $$$
* another cleanser i like is AVON skincare solutions keep it clean vitamin charged cleanser (enhances radiance) / follow with toner. try AVON skincare solutions keep it fresh vitamin charged toner PRICE LEGEND: $
second, use an anti-aging product that has at most an SPF (sun protection factor) of 15. anything more than that is a work of marketing to make you believe that you need this much SPF to protect your skin and make you spend more as SPF ingredients are expensive depending on the factor in the product. the truth is, any product with SPF 15 or more needs to be re-applied every 2 hours, especialy in tropical countries where you tend to have more humidity. the sweat we produce eventually removes the product off our faces, thus it’s important to re-apply. another tip: carry a dual powder foundation compact or cream foundation compact with an SPF for touch ups during the day.
* BEST POWDER FOUNDATION I HAVE TRIED is CHANEL’s Double Perfection for a Matte Finish or Vitalumier Compact for a dewy look. PRICE LEGEND: $$$
* Anew Retroactive+ Repair Day Cream / Night Cream – these products works at a cellular level to "re-rpogram" the skin to make it think like it’s young again. so it technically reverses the signs of aging while protecting it from environmental stressors. the day cream has SPF 15 to protect you from UVA / UVB rays. PRICE LEGEND: $
* Anew Luminosity Ultra Advanced SKin BRightener – this is great to even out your skin tone, especially if your are concerned with dark spots. it minimizes freckles and skin discolorations. skin will appear brighter and more luminous in as little as 7 days. with SPF 15 to protect from UVB / UVA rays. PRICE LEGEND: $
* SISLEY ALL DAY ALL YEAR SPF 8 – this product is really a breakthrough. even with a low SPF, the name says it all – it protects you all day all year. with only a pea size this product stays on your face for 8 hours. it’s technology is created, so that the SPF will not wipe off when you sweat and will stay on for 8 hours. it wraps your skin in a bubble of protection the stays "velcroed" on the skin until you wash it off. the result, in 4 weeks skin is renewed and looks refined and younger. after the 28 day natural skin renewal process, the skin underneath that shows has been protected thatnks to the "all day" protection this products has given. in spite of it’s price, an age regression of 10 years (based on lab tests – although may vary for individuals) makes this product worth purchasing. PRICE LEGEND: $$$
These are the products that stnad out on my list of "dependable" products. However, as I mentioned there is no SOLID RULE. Look for a regimen that works for you, it may take a couple of tries – get some samples (if available) to see how you will react, you will be able to tell in a few days which one works the best or try to ask them to give you a "sample" treatment on counter – most premium brands like CHANEL and SISLEY PARIS do that on counter in department stores. all brands mentioned can also give you a skin analysis and suggest some products customized for your need. this is a lot cheaper than having it professionally done.
also you can visit their websites: www.avon.com, www.chanel.com, www.sisley-cosmetics.com
i hope that i have helped and good luck!

anti aging treatment Are they only recommended as anti-aging treatments or can they be used by people in their 20s too? I’ve always wondered what they did besides reduce dark circles.
any kind of cream is good for u. you’re supposed to moisturize every day and start when ur young so ur skin doesn’t get that many wrinkles or appear older than ur actual age. my great aunt is in her 70’s and has skin that looks like a 35-40 yr old’s-NOT lying. but she started using creams n all that since she was like 15 EVERY signle day…it sure pays off;) and if it’s cream especially made for eyes it will work even better. i try to moisturize everyday. ppl always tell me i have really good skin.

anti aging treatment I was reading some interesting stuff on research into the aging
process. Some of the more optimistic projections see major
rejuvenation and cessation of the aging process within 30
years. This is well within my potential lifespan (and almost certainly yours.)
Naturally, this could lead to a population nightmare. Unless, certain RULES were adhered to (like possibly not reproducing as the price you’d have to pay to get the anti-aging treatment(s).
Now, for me that’s an easy one. I never wanted to father kids, so I never did, and I’m quite sure I never will. Thanks to "prophylactics", it hasn’t cramped my style either (if you know what I mean..!)
So, I think I have a right to physically live as long as I’d like to! (Not FOREVER, mind you. Someday you’ve GOT to die! Forever is TOO LONG. But maybe 500 years or so would allow me to do and see everything I’d like.)
I’d definitely prefer this option, to the slow rotting process we call "natural aging" (which gives us NO choice.)
How about you?
I would like to stress, NOT FOREVER!
The thought of eternity gives me the
heebie-jeebies, and is one reason I
hope there is no metaphysical "afterlife."
All things must end, yes… even good things.
(That in itself, is a GOOD thing..!)
I’d rather have kids. Although there are many things in life and can give meaning, from what I’ve heard at least, there is no single greater joy than being able to bring up children.

skin nutrition I understand that being deficient in certain vitamins / minerals / nutrients can result in dry, brittle fingernails. But specifically, which vitamins / minerals / nutrients cause this? My nails are very brittle so I want to ensure I’m getting everything I should be in my diet. I already know about supplements marketed as "nail/skin/hair vitamins" but I want to what component(s) of these is responsible for nurturing healthy nails.
calcium, preferably with vitamin D – it helps body to absorb calcium

body skin care My skin is very dry and I hate wearing lotion and putting it on. Is there a body wash that will moisturize our skin enough so that I don’t have to wear lotion. I don’t like oily feeling left behind so none of those.
Try Lush’s Buffy the Backside Slayer. make sure you step out of the shower water when you use it or it will melt. Just a few swipes across your skin then rinse. It exfoliates and moisturizes, you will not need a moisturizer after using it. I use a moisturizer only on days when I do not use Buffy. It does leave you skin a bit tacky but not so that it is uncomfortable. You could also try Lush’s The Olive Branch body wash which has olive oil in it and is quite moisturizing.

anti aging treatment well, this is a part of my project and so conducting a survey.Your reviews will be submitted as a hard copy.
Product name: Oxygen
Flavours: Apple, Orange, Cherry & Lemon
Oxygen is an important component of cellular metabolism and other biological processes that keep our bodies going. Oxygen provides the body with energy and makes sure our cells and organs stay in shape. In its concentrated form, oxygen is known to be an anti-aging treatment.
Are you serious?
You want to fill our bellies with air? Is this some kind of trick to get us to fart more?
Our body takes in oxygen through our lungs, not through our stomachs. Putting oxygen in food won’t work…
